16-time WWE World Champion Shocked with Donald Trump’s Victory in US Presidential Elections | WWE News – Times of India

Although 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has never made his political inclinations public, he recently took to social media to share his surprise with Donald Trump winning the US Presidential Elections.
Cena has never been vocal about his political preferences, nor has he gone on social media to suggest which candidate he’s supporting, unlike a lot of other WWE Superstars. However, following Trump’s victory, Cena shared an image on his Instagram, expressing his surprise with the results that were announced after the counting of the votes.

Has John Cena spoken about Donald Trump’s victory?

Historically, Cena has never spoken about Trump’s victory on either occasion, atleast publicly. It’s unclear if he’s congratulated the new President-elect privately. It would be wrong to rule out any communication between the two of them considering that Cena is one of the biggest names in the WWE while Trump has been associated with the Stamford-based promotion for a long time now.
Superstars like Undertaker, Kane and Hulk Hogan have actively helped Trump in his campaign before the elections, and were extremely elated with his victory. Other wrestlers like Mick Foley and even Dave Bautista have expressed their disappointment with the results because they were consistently supporting Kamala Harris during the Election Campaign season.

Interestingly enough, this was the first time that the wrestler actively expressed his opinion about the elections. In fact even prior to the elections on November 5, Cena shared the image of V, a character from the movie V For Vendetta, on his Instagram profile. The movie is a cult classic and bears a deep message with respect to the politics of a region.
The American populace is currently divided with respect to the election results and it will be interesting to see how things pan out once Donald Trump assumes his chair in the Oval Office.
As for John Cena, he’ll soon embark on his retirement tour, which is set to conclude at the end of 2025. It will be interesting to see if he manages to win his 17th World Championship and finally surpass Ric Flair to set a record for himself.
