2 Texas A&M Aggies Fans Face Ban Over ‘Heckling About Florida Bat Boy Death’: Omaha Police

The Police Association released a statement after the incident.

Hours after reports of two Texas A&M Aggies fans being ejected from a team’s game against Florida, the Omaha Police Association has come forward calling for a ban on them. The organisation serving the Police Department since 1972 has called the supporters yelling into the Florida Gators dugout as something “beyond acceptable.” They were reportedly shouting as a reaction to rumours circulating on social media about Gators’ head coach Kevin O’Sullivan.

“Heckling an opposing baseball team about the tragic death of their batboy is beyond unacceptable. Glad our officers and security threw this duo out of Charles Schwab Field,” the Omaha Police Officers Association wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Since the news of unruly fans trying to spoil Saturday night’s game broke out, calls have been made to disallow them from the rest of the Men’s College World Series. Adding to it, the Police Association in Omaha remarked: “You’re no longer welcome in this city and should be banned for life from future College World Series #cws.”

A video of the incident along with the details posted by an individual named

O’Sullivan, who is married to Minde Reinhart, did not react to the controversy. The Texas A&M Aggies‘ management has not yet officially supported the ban. Moreover, several people have described the act of the fans as something “despicable enough” to get ejected.
