Several Oconee County public schools have ranked on the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 best elementary and middle school rankings, while Jefferson places two on the list.
The Oconee County district boasts multiple schools ranked in the top 100 in Georgia, showcasing the high quality of education provided to the students in the area.
“The rankings methodology focused on state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in mathematics and reading/language arts, while accounting for student background and achievement in core subjects,” U.S. News wrote in the report.
