Here’s how Staten Island’s public high schools rank, according to U.S. News & World Report
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. —The U.S. News and World Report released its ranking of the top high schools across the United States in 2024 —and that includes state, city and local rankings.
The rankings evaluate nearly 18,000 eligible public high schools at the national, state and local levels. Along with national rankings, U.S. News published a state-by-state ranking of the best high schools, including in New York state.
According to U.S. News, the highest-ranked schools in the country are those where: students excelled on state tests, performing beyond expectations; participated in and passed a variety of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.
Here’s a look at how Staten Island’s public high schools ranked from highest to lowest, according to U.S. News.
