Active Shooter At Balboa’s Naval Medical Center, Manhunt Underway In San Diego, California

Naval Base San Diego was alerted on Thursday following the reports of an active shooter in the San Diego establishment. The authorities put out a statement warning the residents of an alleged threat near Naval Medical Center. Naval base security and other law enforcement agencies launched an investigation into the incident amid unconfirmed reports of a shooting taking place earlier in the morning.

A brief statement was issued by the Naval Base San Diego advising the residents to stay indoors. “The Navy is investigating a security threat (verbal threat) at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Navy security and local law enforcement are actively seeking a person of interest regarding an alleged threat,” the alert posted on social media read.
