Trump says he’s ‘less inclined’ to debate Harris again after claiming he won: Live

The Harris campaign sent out a fundraising email on Wednesday afternoon touting Taylor Swift’s endorsement of the vice president.

“Will you join Taylor Swift in supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign?” the Harris campaign asked in an email to supporters.

NPR reported on Wednesday that more than 300,000 people visited the site to register to vote after being referred to the URL shared by Swift.

The pop star on Tuesday night (10 September) endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris for president, saying she is a “steady-handed, gifted leader”.

Swift, 34, shared the news in a message on Instagram following the debate between Ms Harris and Republican rival Donald Trump in Philadelphia.

She signed her post “Childless Cat Lady” in reference to comments made by Mr Trump’s running mate JD Vance in 2021 but which resurfaced recently.

Ms Harris’s running mate – Mr Walz – was also heavily mentioned in the endorsement he found out about it shortly after it was made.

He was on live TV when he heard the news.

In what could be the only debate before the November election, the candidates sparred over abortion, the economy, foreign policy and immigration. ABC News muted each candidate’s mic after their turn to speak — but that didn’t mean Harris or Trump stopped talking.

A pool reporter in the room transcribed the off-mic comments which only served to underscore the bitter exchanges between the two candidates.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s campaign has begun selling Taylor Swift-themed bracelets, just minutes after the singer endorsed the Democratic nominees in the 2024 US presidential election.

The Harris-Walz official website launched the bracelets on September 10 after the presidential debate between Vice President Harris and Republican nominee, Donald Trump. The jewelry includes clay beads that spell the last names of Harris and her running mate for vice president, Walz. The two blue and black bracelets also each feature a bead that displays the number “24.”

The online description for the product includes a nod to one of Swift’s hit songs from her 2017 album, Reputation. “Are you ready for it? Harris-Walz friendship bracelets are here!” the website reads. All purchases will be a donation to the Harris Victory Fund.

Former Republican advisor Stuart Stevens said in a post on X that Harris “disqualified” Trump during the debate last night.

The former president “was exposed as a fool, a know nothing who can’t distinguish between fantasy and reality,” he added.

Following the much-awaited debate between presidential nominees on Tuesday (10 September), Swift shared a rare statement endorsing the Democratic nominee.

She said: “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

Following the debate, Trump was quizzed about Swift’s endorsement by Fox News, adding he is “not a fan”.

Trump added: “I like Britney, I think she is great, she is a big MAGA fan.”
