Biden: Investigation into Trump assassination attempt underway | NHK WORLD-JAPAN News

US President Joe Biden says federal law enforcement is investigating a possible assassination attempt against Donald Trump in the southern state of Florida. The former president is safe.

In a statement issued on Sunday evening, Biden says he has directed his team to ensure Trump’s continued safety by all means.

Vice President Kamala Harris said in a social media post that she is glad Trump is safe, adding, “Violence has no place in America.”
