Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds pack on the PDA in another loved-up outing after ‘It Ends With Us’ backlash
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds put on a united front during an outing in NYC that came weeks after the actress faced extensive backlash amid her “It Ends With Us” press tour.
The couple appeared to be in a good mood while walking arm-in-arm as they headed to a business meeting in the Big Apple on Tuesday.
Lively, 37, stepped out wearing a purple knit vest over a gray sweater with blue pants and blue boots. She accessorized with a blue Chanel bag and a gold snake necklace.
The “Gossip Girl” alum showed off her complexion with natural makeup and had her hair pulled back in a braid.
Reynolds, 47, complemented his wife’s outfit as he sported a blue BODE shirt, blue trousers, white sneakers and a baseball cap.
The pair has been photographed together around NYC several times since the drama surrounding Lively’s most recent film, “It Ends With Us.”
The movie is based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 romance novel, which explores themes of domestic violence.
Lively rubbed fans the wrong way when she stepped out wearing florals in honor of her character Lily Bloom’s flower shop and promoting her new haircare line, Blake Brown Beauty, during press interviews.
At the time, critics called out the “A Simple Favor” star for not seriously addressing the film’s storyline of abuse.
Rumors also swirled about an alleged feud between Lively and co-star and director Justin Baldoni when they didn’t promote the film together or pose on the red carpet at the at the NYC premiere last month.
An insider later told Page Six the duo clashed over the movie’s final cut and Lively ultimately had the final say.
Another report claimed the “Jane the Virgin” actor, 40, made the actress feel “uncomfortable” about her postpartum body when he asked a set trainer how much she weighed so he could prepare to lift her.
Lively had welcomed her fourth child with Reynolds a few months before filming began last year.
Other sources told TMZ that Baldoni did not intend to upset the mom of four.
Baldoni and his production company own the rights to “It Ends With Us” and Hoover’s 2022 sequel, “It Starts With Us.”
It’s unclear if he will return to direct the big screen adaptation of the second book following the drama.
