Georgia is home to some of the best businesses in America, according to a study by U.S. News & World Report.

While “best” can be subjective, U.S. News identified these businesses based on multiple factors such as quality of pay, benefits, stability, comfort, opportunities for development, and flexibility. Each metric was given a different weight and the relevant data was collected from various sources.

The list included 12 from Georgia. Here’s a closer look at them and which ones received particularly high marks:

Atrium Hospitality

Atrium Hospitality is a hotels, restaurants and leisure company founded in 2015 and based in Alpharetta. It employs 5001-10,000 people. Atrium received perfect scores in quality of pay, work-life balance, stability, and comfort.

Beazer Homes

Beazer Homes is a construction company founded in 1985 and based in Atlanta. It employs 1,067 people. Beazer received a perfect score in quality of pay and high marks in stability, comfort, and belongingness.

The iconic fast-food chain of Chick-fil-A was founded in 1946 and is based in Atlanta. It employs more than 10,000 people. Chick-fil-A received a perfect score in work life balance and high marks in stability, comfort, and professional development.

Cotiviti

Cotiviti is a health services company founded in 1979 and based in Atlanta. It employs more than 5,000 people. Cotiviti received perfect scores in quality of pay and professional development.

Cox Enterprises

Cox Enterprises is a telecommunications company founded in 1898 and based in Atlanta. It employs more than 10,000 people. Cox received perfect scores in quality of pay, stability, belongingness, and professional development.

Primerica is an insurance company founded in 1977 and based in Duluth. It employs 3,450. The company received perfect scores in stability and professional development and a high score in comfort.

Rheem Manufacturing

Rheem Manufacturing is a manufacturer of water heaters, boilers, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment. It’s founded in 1880 and is based in Atlanta. The company employs more than 5,000 people and received perfect scores in belongingness and professional development.

SiteOne Landscape Supply
