Back in the ALWS for the third time in four years, Midland is undefeated in tournament play, with a pristine 4-0 record. In Monday’s semifinal matchup, Midland defeated League City (Texas) Post 554 — the reigning champions — in a narrow 1-0 victory.
Troy defeated the Wilmington Delvets (Del.), 4-0, in Monday’s second semifinal to clinch a berth in Tuesday’s championship game. That makes two consecutive shutout victories for Troy, which blanked League City in its previous matchup.
