Are aliens testing earth’s infrastructure? Video of flashing street lights amid US drone mystery goes viral
“Newburgh, New York Walmart has all their lights flashing. This has been happening all over the country; it also just happened at Asheville, North Carolina airport,” tweeted the account holder of X handle @WallStreetApes on December 19.
The tweet has since garnered nearly 5 million views and 2,000 comments.
Hinting at the possibility of aliens, the Twitter user speculated whether ‘they’ are testing Earth’s infrastructure.
The X user wrote, “Is this due to the ‘Drones/Orbs’? Are they testing our infrastructure for some upcoming event?”
“The lights do not always flash. I go to Walmart all the time, and they never flash like this,” the tweet added.
All you need to know about US Drone Mystery
Numerous drone sightings over New Jersey and the eastern U.S. are under investigation. Since mid-November, witnesses have reported seeing drones across New Jersey, including near Picatinny Arsenal and President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in Bedminster.
The FBI, Department of Homeland Security, FAA, and Department of Defense are investigating around 100 credible drone sightings out of over 5,000 reports nationwide in recent weeks. The FAA has temporarily restricted drone flights in 22 New Jersey areas with critical infrastructure until January 17, at the request of federal security agencies.
Despite public concern, officials say there’s no evidence of a national security or public safety threat. Many sightings have been identified as legal drones, other aircraft, or even stars. President Joe Biden stated, “there appears to be nothing nefarious about the flying objects.”
Despite these assurances, some lawmakers want stricter drone regulations and the ability to shoot them down. Online speculation suggests possible foreign or U.S. government involvement. Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder stated it is unlikely the drones are involved in intelligence gathering “given how loud and bright they are,” adding that the Department of Defense is not operating them. He also denied military contractor involvement, saying, “there are ‘no military operations, no military drone or experiment operations in this corridor.’”
