College of Business earns fourth-highest ranking among New England public business schools

The U.S. News & World Report‘s 2025 College Rankings have designated the Charlton College of Business as having the 147th “Best Undergraduate Business Programs” out of 532 qualifying U.S. institutions.

This ranks Charlton among the top 28% of undergraduate business programs in the U.S. and marks a 48-spot rise in rankings since 2020. Among public universities, Charlton is the second-highest ranking business school in Massachusetts and ties the University of Maine, University of Rhode Island, and University of Vermont as the fourth highest-ranking business school in New England.

According to U.S. News, the “Best Undergraduate Business Programs” rankings are based on peer assessment surveys among universities with business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Globally, less than 6% of universities with business degree programs earn AACSB accreditation.

CCB’s online undergraduate programs also rank highly, placing #10 in the nation and second among all New England institutions, public or private. The business school’s online graduate programs also rank in the top 27% for both MBA (#86/352) and MS in business programs (#60/222).
