UFC star Connor McGregor could have unraveled the identity of the Hawk Tuah Girl, which has so far been a mystery, even though there has been no shortage of interest in it since the clip on Tim & Dee TV’s Instagram went viral earlier in June.
McGregor, who is scheduled to headline UFC 303 against Michael Chandler on June 29, had been asking around on social media if the Hawk Tuah Girl has been found. Per a TMZ report, the 35-year-old posted on X recently asking if the Hawk Tuah Girl has been found. The post has now been deleted.
Meanwhile, the identity of the Hawk Tuah Girl started to be associated with a Tennessee resident, believed to be named Hailey Welch, after YouTuber DeArius Marlow, the host of the vox pop, tagged two users – Chelsea Bradford and Hailey Welch, in a comment.
Some reports said that the account of Hailey Welch had photos of the Hawk Tuah Girl. However, since the name Hailey Welch popped up, several Instagram accounts, containing the same few photos of the woman, have come up. It is hard to tell from there if any of them belong to the woman, as most of the accounts are new, with posts going back three to seven days.
In the video, she speaks in a Southern accent which netizens have found a liking to. According to some reports, the interview took place on a street in Tennessee where the two women were likely bar hopping.
“What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” DeArius Marlow asks the Hawk Tuah Girl. She responds, “Oh, you have got to give it that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang, you get me?”
The video racked up over eight million views within a week. Tim & Dee TV, who have around 35,000 followers on their YouTube channel, initially said they would release the full video on June 21. However, the video gained such viral fame that they delayed it for two more days, finally releasing it on June 23. Notably, the Hawk Tuah Girl has not been identified in that video, either.
