So often, we twist out of shape to please others, fit in with their lifestyle or needs, or impress new people. It’s draining, it’s not sustainable. You know this because the Nine of Swords shows you’ve been doing it – either to a partner, potential partner, or perhaps their family or friends.

Self sacrifice is admirable and is part of most relationships, at one point or another, but it cannot be the norm, the default, or foundation.

The Three of Cups says life’s too short to live like this and you’re actually at your best when you’re fully you, doing what you love doing. The Page of Cups brings out your natural humour, likes, opinions, and tastes. Let them be visible, and be who you are, because they will love you anyway

Taurus

April 21 to May 21

Look within for the answers you need (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Taurus: The High Priestess, Ace of Coins, Page of Wands

Meaning: Renewal and new love

There is the prospect of renewal and fresh starts in your relationship realm this Autumn with the practical and prosperous Ace of Coins – perhaps a proposal, engagement, even a pregnancy, or just a new leaf. It will last, this shift will be the new normal, so embrace it and make it work.

The High Priestess sees you looking inwards, rather than to others, for your relationship needs and desires. You know, deep down, what’s what because you’re an analytical and shrewd person. Lean on your own gut instincts and you’ll not go wrong. Follow them through, take steps.

The Page of Wands reinforces a pregnancy notion (Pages = children) and also a more carefree, happy, joyful, off the cuff approach to dating and love. Be in the moment, don’t worry so much about what comes next, each moment leads to the next naturally.

Gemini

May 22 to June 21

(Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Gemini: Six of Coins, Temperance, Queen of Wands

Meaning: Friendship turns to love

For Geminis, many romances start in friendship because you are a naturally social person, with a wide circle of acquaintances, and you (as an Air sign) value personality over passion or looks. Your attractions often begin with a liking for someone’s intellect or humour, and things go from there.

The Six of Coins sees you making a new friend, someone who is solid, loyal, supportive, and strong. You admire them. They might be an Earth sign – Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus.

Temperance shows that from now until Christmas, the feelings grow and start to shift more onto romantic lines… and initially you’re unsure this is right. But then, with the bold Queen of Wands, you chance it, take a risk, share your feelings and the warmth is very much reciprocated. Any why not? You are adorable!

Cancer

June 22 to July 23

All change for you, Cancer (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Cancer: Eight of Swords, Death, The Lovers

Meaning: A change of heart

A very tumultuous autumn lies ahead for you, Cancer, with big changes in your love life realm! Are you ready? The Eight of Swords sees you changing your mind about what you actually want, desire, need, and deserve. Maybe you’ve set your standards too low, maybe you’ve stuck to an old formula, maybe you’ve been unconsciously trying to replace someone.

Whatever it is, a revelation opens up your mind to new options. Death shows this will lead to as major change of heart, outlook and experience. Half-hearted or old things will end, you’re not interested in what you once were! Clear the decks.

The Lovers sees a new romance emerging, something very different, maybe a little challenging, and at first you’re not sure… but it grows and takes shape. Look out for Geminis and people you might not usually go for!

Leo

July 24 to August 23

Time for a break (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Leo: Queen of Swords, Five of Cups, Ten of Wands

Meaning: More focus on you

Leos are famous for having active (over active?) love lives and relationship options but this autumn sees you deciding to step back, take a little time for yourself, and just let things simmer down and be more peaceful, easy, free-flowing.

The Queen of Swords is your growing appetite for alone time, solo projects, personal growth. You don’t want to be in their pocket 24/7 thank you! The Ten of Wands shows this is a fatigue with love, romance, and all things partner-based. You can have too much of a good thing! So, if you’re attached, then seek outside projects and activity. If you’re dating, then scale it back to allow more time for solo stuff.

The Five of Cups is a little echo of sadness, and maybe your emotions need some focus and attention this season. Don’t suppress them to please someone else. Be yourself all the way down the bottom!

Virgo

August 24 to September 23

Look out for a spicy fire sign (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Virgo: The Sun, Queen of Coins, Six of Wands

Meaning: On the same page

A passionate, happy, successful, joyful and positive season for love, for Virgos (it is your birthday around this time). The Sun is the tarot’s most positive card and brings blessings to your love life, whatever you wish for is possible, within reach!

The Six of Wands reinforces that, as it’s a midas touch card. Fire signs look very positive for you – Leo, Aries, Sagittarius- as does global travel or lovely breaks to someplace warmer! If you can get away this autumn, then do!

The Queen of Coins sees a great alignment between your love life experience and your own life goals and position. It’s all coming together. The person you’re with/about to meet is on the same page as you are, wants similar things, and importantly is prepared to invest time, energy and effort to make them happen. You know you’ve found a genuine life ally, not just a romantic partner. Bliss!

Libra

September 24 to October 23

You’ll notice the spark straight away (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Libra: Six of Swords, Three of Wands, Ace of Cups

Meaning: Chance encounter

At some point this autumn, the Six of Swords suggests you’re going to leave something (or someone/someplace) behind, and this is not a sad event as such as it’s been a long time coming and the time is now right for this move. Take a deep breath and do it.

The Three of Wands and Ace of Cups show that as you make this move, you will meet someone new who literally sweeps you off your feet and the chemistry is powerful, immediate, and unique. You have never felt like this! And it’s all from a coincidence, a chance encounter, a lucky passing of ships.

They are likely to be a Water sign (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio) but their main characteristic that you notice is the strength and immediacy of your mutual attraction. It feels like a soulmate vibe and you can’t explain it because you barely know each other. This chance encounter could change everything!

Scorpio

October 24 to November 22

Take that leap (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Scorpio: Knight of Coins, Nine of Coins, The Fool

Meaning: Dreams coming true

A new beginning, in life generally, with the radical and optimistic Fool card triggers a meeting that could lead to your forever after! You are starting something new, exciting, personal, and maybe even a little risky – others disapprove or tut when you talk about it. So what? Do it anyway, Scorpio!

The Knight and Nine of Coins show that this endeavour will be a success and you will meet a rock-solid Earth sign along the way who totally makes you feel understood, safe, protected, and strong. They are an equal to your force and power, but in a quieter, humbler way. They want everything you want and they want to form a love alliance to build a wonderful life together.

What more could you want? Not sure, because I think this is it.

Sagittarius

November 23 to December 21

Is it time to settle down? (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Sagittarius: Page of Swords, The Chariot, Two of Coins

Meaning: Commitment

You are ruled by Jupiter and therefore blessed with good fortune and luck but maybe cursed a little with endless FOMO and an appetite to be free to experience everything. It can get you into relationship trouble, you’re not the greatest at commitment cosmically… though you always mature.

The Page of Swords is asking for a commitment to be made this autumn, in one direction or another, even if it’s a commitment to being single and playing the field. The Two of Coins nudges you that way as it’s about abundance and ‘having it all’. Are you really ready for monogamy?

The Chariot puts purpose at the heart of these decisions. You will know if you’re currently in love and ready to commit. And if that feels like the purpose you want to pursue, then do. But, if not, don’t try to fake it. Hearts will be broken. Know what you want and commit to it.

Capricorn

December 22 to January 21

You’re in the driving seat (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Capricorn: Temperance, Queen of Wands, The Hierophant

Meaning: Taking control

Leadership cards this autumn, Capricorn, so there is a sense that you will shift gears and take more ownership or control over where your love life is heading and what happens next. Seize the day!

Temperance shows an internal change of heart or mood or outlook starts around now and it evolves until you reach a point that you can see clearly what needs to be different. The Queen of Wands has you taking action, a bold move, a positive leap of faith. This is new. This is different. And it creates a new dynamic or perhaps attracts a new type of partner. Look out for Sagittarius and Taurus this autumn.

The Hierophant is, in love readings, about commitment, engagement, marriage, family life. So, you’re heading in the right direction, overall, towards your ‘ideal nest’. Keep going. Make that move.

Aquarius

January 22 to February 19

Better things are on the horizon, Aquarius (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Aquarius: King of Cups, Eight of Cups, Page of Coins

Meaning: Live and learn

Accept that an outcome in a relationship or flirtation you wanted isn’t going to pan out. Admit defeat on this one, we all live and learn, right? The Eight of Cups asks you to stop trying or forcing something which hasn’t landed. It’s not going to. Waste of time. Move on.

The Page of Coins suggests there’s an important learning or lesson here. You can really understand what it is you’re striving for and why this approach didn’t work.

Don’t be sad because the King of Cups reveals that unseen forces were blocking this previous effort so that you could move on to the thing/person/phase/chapter you’re long due and deserve! Something, or someone, better than what you hoped for is coming. The faster you drop what’s not working, the faster it can enter your life. For every door that closes, a window opens.

Pisces

February 20 to March 20

Someone from your past might help make this happen (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Autumn love tarot cards for Pisces: The World, Ten of Coins, Six of Cups

Meaning: Happy ever after

Powerful and positive cards for your love life this autumn, Pisces. The World and Ten of Coins are both fulfilment and ultimate achievement, the happy ever after you yearn for.

Something might shift or unlock, and you feel you’re where you’re meant to be, on the right track, whatever your relationship status you believe you now know and have what you need to make things work, make good choices, and build a secure, loyal, loving and lasting partnership. Capricorns are particularly good for you, if you’re single.

The Six of Cups suggests, too, that someone or something from your past may re-emerge to help ignite this happy ever after. It could be someone you once knew, it might be a new home or location you once loved, it could be an old friend with a connection to something that could help your current love. Look back in order to look ahead.
