Gaza latest: ‘Targeted strikes’ ongoing in Rafah, Israel says – despite Hamas accepting Egypt-Qatar ceasefire proposal
‘We need our hostages home – accept the deal’: Tel Aviv road blocked by protesting families
Relatives of Israeli hostages being held in Gaza have blocked a major road in Tel Aviv, demanding that Benjamin Netanyahu accepts a ceasefire deal.
Several families have gathered on the Begin Road.
Einav Zangauker, the mother of hostage Matan Zangauker, delivered a direct message to Israel’s prime minister via the country’s Channel 12 broadcaster.
The Times of Israel quoted her as saying: “This is your hour. Be brave, be a leader.
“The government and war cabinet should accept the deal.
“We need our hostages home. Every last one.”
She said it was probably her “last chance” to bring her son home.
And she warned the government “the streets will burn” if the government “misses this chance”.
“You can’t play like this with people’s lives,” she added.
