Huntsville Tornado: Videos Show Twister In Alabama City, Power Outage Reported

A massive tornado was seen passing through Huntsville in Alabama as a power outage was reported across the city on Wednesday. This comes as the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued multiple tornado warnings in Alabama, Tennessee and Gerogia.

Locals and storm chasers posted videos of the tornado in Huntsville. Power flashes were seen in the sky. Social media users were quick to report the twister.

“prayers to my folks in Huntsville 🙏 esp my Auburn fans there it’s one thing to get hit by a tornado it’s another when that tornado system shaped like an elephant,” one person said.

“9:58pm Huntsville Metro folks, we know you just took shelter for the previous tornado that is heading into southern Jackson County, but you are in ANOTHER TORNADO WARNING. Please heed this warning and take shelter again,” the NWS informed.

Huntsville Utilities tweeted about power outages in several areas on the city. “Electric Ops is responding to outages in the City of Madison impacting customers from University Dr south to Eastview Dr & from Hughes Rd east to Research Park Blvd, as well as in N HSV impacting customers from Bob Wade Ln south to Sparkman Dr & Jeff Rd east to Pulaski Pike,” it said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Electric Ops is responding to additional outages in NE HSV impacting customers from Oakwood Ave south to Governors Dr & from I-565 east to Bankhead Pkwy, as well as customers from Toll Gate Rd south to Drake Ave and from California St east to Monte Sano Blvd,” the department further added.
