IGI Collaborates with Runway 7 During NYFW to Bring Jewelry and Diamonds to the Catwalk
(PRESS RELEASE) The International Gemological Institute (IGI) collaborated with Runway 7 as the official jewelry sponsor during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The five-day event held at Sony Hall featured an eclectic mix of designer showcases, unveiling their Spring/Summer 2025 collections. As part of this sponsorship, IGI brought an array of solitaire, diamond, and gemstone jewelry to the runway, all graded by IGI.
IGI provided a diverse array of fine jewelry from around the world, including rare and statement pieces from several different brands. This collaboration allowed participating fashion designers to showcase their creations with jewelry that reflected both the latest trends and craftsmanship.
IGI emphasized the importance of informed decision-making when purchasing fine jewelry. IGI encouraged customers to learn about its certification report. Each certification report issued by IGI contains detailed information regarding these assessments, along with a graphic representation of the proportions and clarity characteristics of the diamond, studded jewelry or colored stone and laser inscriptions, where applicable.
“Partnering with Runway 7 was an exciting opportunity for IGI,” said Tehmasp Printer, CEO and Managing Director, IGI India. “We were proud to contribute this platform by showcasing a range of exquisite, IGI-graded jewelry pieces that highlighted the creativity of each designer. By advocating for the use of our IGI reports, we aim to instill consumer confidence and ensure that every purchase is backed by IGI’s strive for authenticity and transparency, allowing customers to make informed decisions about their jewelry and gemstone purchases.”
Runway 7 successfully raised over $100,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research at Mount Sinai, highlighting its dedication to both fashion and philanthropy. This season’s event also showcased Elysian’s Catwalk Furbaby, blending runway glamour with a commitment to animal welfare. Attendees enjoyed the work of renowned designers such as Nicole Miller, Canine Cashmere, Alex Foxsworth, Jonathan Kanye, Christina Strayer, Brooke Wilder, and more.
“We were thrilled to collaborate with IGI for this season of Runway 7,” said Christina Kovacs, Runway 7 Director of Designer Relations. “The purpose was to bring awareness about the importance of IGI reports which ultimately seek to protect consumer interests. The exceptional selection of fine jewelry added an extraordinary level of brilliance and sparkle to the runway. This collaboration aligned perfectly with our mission to celebrate innovative design and cultural diversity while supporting important causes.”
