A video of a performance is going viral on social media as the celebration performance after JD Vance was picked as Donald Trump‘s running mate on Monday at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. However, Times Now can confirm that the video is not of the celebration performance after Vance was picked.
The actual video, which was misleadingly shared by many as from the RNC, is actually from a Tzedek Association Appreciation Event that took place in Tarrytown, New York on March 10, 2024. Notably, Ohio Senator JD Vance was present at the event and also delivered a speech.

The video was shared by many falsely claiming from the RNC. Here are some such posts.
Initially, Vance was a strong critic of Donald Trump during his first presidential campaign, describing Trump’s policies as ranging from “immoral to absurd.” He also referred to the 78-year-old Trump as “cultural heroin” and “an opioid of the masses,” and even called Trump “America’s Hitler” in a private Facebook message.
However, after Trump was elected, Vance shifted his stance. By the 2020 election, he endorsed Trump and supported the claims of election fraud that Trump raised following his loss to Joe Biden.
Announcing Vance as his Vice President pick for the November elections, Trump said in a post on the social media platform Truth Social that Vance is “best suited” for the post. Vance, who grew up in a blue-collar household in Ohio, has grown close to the former president after Trump’s support helped him get elected as Senator in 2021. He is being viewed as a potential successor of Donald Trump in the MAGA movement.
“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump wrote in the post.
When asked by an ABC journalist what his strategy with Vance was, Trump said he planned to designate him in Pennsylvania – a swing state considered tilted towards the Democrats. Many believe that Vance could play a huge role in consolidating the swing voters in Pennsylvania.
