Michigan Tornado: Portage Twister Moves Into Kalamazoo, Emergency Warnings Issued In Union City | VIDEO

A tornado was spotted in Portage and Kalamazoo.

A massive tornado spotted in Portage was seen headed to Kalamazoo in Michigan today. This comes with a tornado emergency issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for Union City and Sherwood. A large violent tornado is on the ground, warned the weather agency Tuesday evening.

The high-paced tornado accompanied by gusts left major damages in Portage and Kalamazoo. Residents in the area have been advised to immediately seek shelter as this is a life-threatening situation.

The NWS’ Grand Rapids office in its latest alert confirmed a tornado was located over Battle Creek at around 7:43 pm, per local time. The sweeper was moving northeast with a speed of 40 mph. The tornado warnings in Calhoun County remain active till around 8:30 pm, per local time. The tornado is going to leave its impact on Brownlee Park, Pine, Creek, Bedford, Ceresco, Duck Lake, and Marengo.

The NWS office in Northern Indiana issued multiple tornado warnings, especially in southeastern Michigan. The warnings for Southeastern Hillsdale County, Battle Creek, Albion, and Marshall are expected to be extended. The last reported alert was active till 7:30 pm, per local time.

The impact of the tornadic thunderstorm is going to remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Hillsdale County, including the following locations Cambria, Frontier, Pittsford, Shadyside, Ransom, and Osseo.
