Gym franchise Planet Fitness will revise its opening hours in some locations in the US on account of the Memorial Day holiday on May 27. As a result, gym goers need to be mindful of the revision in working hours at Planet Fitness gyms – just for a day – if they don’t want to miss their workout session during the holiday.
Planet Fitness spokespersons told the US Sun that the change in working hours of Planet Fitness gyms will vary from location to location. In some locations, there might be no change at all. As a result, it is crucial make enquiries about the working hours on May 27 before making the gym visit.
The US Sun spoke to a representative from Planet Fitness in Queens, New York. The outlet was told that while the Queens gym will open at 5 a.m. local time, as is usual, it will close at 1 p.m., as opposed to the usual 11 p.m.
The following Planet Fitness locations have confirmed a change of hours on Memorial Day:
Queens, New York: 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tampa, Florida: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Will 24X7 Planet Fitness Facilities Be Affected?
Notably, the 24-hour Planet Fitness facilities, such as the one in Bakersfield, California, will stay open throughout the day on May 27. It will also most likely be the same for the other 24-hour Planet Fitness facilities elsewhere, the US Sun reported.
