Shooting At LA Fitness In Woodmore? Witnesses Say Man Shot In Maryland’s Glenarden After Fight, Police At Scene

A man was found severely wounded at LA Fitness on the 9400 block of Ruby Lockhart Boulevard in Glenarden, Maryland having been shot six to seven times, per the Prince George’s County police.

The violence erupted following a dispute outside the gym, which escalated into gunfire. As news of the incident spread, a large crowd began to gather at the scene. According to reports, police are at the scene and the incident is under investigation.

“Something just happened at the LA Fitness in Woodmore and it must be horrible because there’s about 15 police cars racing to the parking lot,” one user wrote on X.

Another user on X said that the shooting was caused due to a fight over a basketball game. The incident apparently happened inside the gym.

“Somebody got shot at LA Fitness at Woodmore town center over a basketball. Bro this is just too much. Can’t even workout or hoop in peace. Smdh,” the user wrote.

“Shooting somebody at Woodmore town center LA fitness is CRAZY ppl need help,” wrote another user.

LA Fitness is a popular gym at 9450 Ruby Lockhart Boulevard in Glenarden, Maryland. This location was previously occupied by 24 Hour Fitness, which closed several DC-area locations in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic. LA Fitness renovated the 42,154-square-foot space and opened their outlet.
