LENOX — U.S. News & World Report recently ranked the town’s middle school as 78th out of 1,072 in Massachusetts, placing it in the top 7 percent.
Morris Elementary School was rated at 155th out of 1,560 in the state, in the top 10 percent.
The high school came in at 37th out of 405 high schools in Massachusetts, a top 9 percent ranking. Lenox Memorial Middle and High School also placed in the top 5 percent of public high schools in the nation, U.S. News and World Report announced in August.
Among 13 Berkshire County high schools ranked, Mount Greylock Regional came in 1st, followed by Lenox Memorial in 2nd, and Monument Mountain Regional was rated 3rd.
Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation rates, and how well they prepare their students for high school and college.
