UW Hospitals ranked first in state by U.S News & World

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – U.S. News & World released their Best Hospitals list ranking the University of Wisconsin Hospitals as number one in Wisconsin. This is the 13th year in a row that UW Hospitals have received this recognition.

University of Wisconsin Hospitals was also ranked nationally in 7 adult specialties and 2 children’s specialties. They were rated high performing in 3 adult specialties and 18 procedures/conditions.

“We play a very important role in the health of patients across Wisconsin and beyond,” Chief Executive Officer of UW Health, Dr. Alan Kaplan said. “As an academic medical center, we provide remarkable care for our patients ranging from primary care to some of the most complex cases and cutting-edge clinical trials.”

To decide the Best Hospitals rankings, U.S. News & World Report evaluated almost 5,000 hospitals.
