Walz lauds ‘smart women’ working to beat Trump, ‘the smallest man in world’: Latest
Minnesota Governor and Democratic Party vice presidential candidate Tim Walz told a crowd in Wisconsin on Saturday that his life hack “for all the guys out there” is “surround yourself with smart women and listen to them and you’ll do just fine. That includes my fellow cat owner Taylor Swift”.
He added: It’s really great to have all of these women help us beat the smallest man in the world… Donald Trump.”
Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris gave her her first solo interview since becoming the party’s nominee, pitching herself as “a new generation of leadership” and promising to help small businesses and first-time homebuyers.
Outrage continues following Trump’s claim during Tuesday’s likely-only presidential debate that the Haitian community in Springfield, Ohio (who are there legally, and at the town’s invitation), were stealing and eating domestic pets
While the city officials and the governor have denied this is happening, Trump’s running mate, Ohio senator JD Vance has further stoked tensions by reposting an unverified video as alleged evidence. Footage of what appears to be the Proud Boys on a main thoroughfare has surfaced and bomb threats have been called into hospitals, schools, and offices.
In 51 days, Harris will go head-to-head with Trump as Americans cast their votes in the 2024 election.
Walz rally crowd trolls Trump with chants of ‘we don’t eat cats’
“He said a lot of weird stuff too, so I’m just going to say that,” the Minnesota governor told the crowd.
“You tell me that you had this on your bingo card: ‘And they’re eating cats’.”
A chorus of “we don’t eat cats” erupted from the crowd, as Walz jubilantly looked on from his podium.
James Liddell has the story.

Truck parades are back!
At first glance, you might think it was one of the many Trump truck parades put on by supporters across the country in 2020.
It’s a Harris-Walz truck parade in San Antonio, Texas, in 2024.
For context, Biden carried Bexar County 58.3% – 40.3% versus Trump in 2020, and Clinton won the county 54.5% – 41% in 2016.
Despite Texas going to Trump in 2020 52.1% – 46.5% overall with its 38 Electoral College votes, Biden carried all of the major cities (except for Fort Worth and Corpus Christi) — and by significant margins.
The final popular vote tally was 5.89 million to Trump and 5.26 million to Biden.

Trump details economic plans in local news interiview
KTNV Channel 13 Las Vegas scored an interview with Donald Trump last night while he was in town for his latest rally.
Reporter Steve Sebelius quizzed the former president predominantly about economic issues most important to Las Vegans — specifically the “no tax on tips”, “no tax on overtime”, and “no tax on social security benefits” policies.
Asked if any personal economic gains would be curtailed by his plan to increase tariffs through foreign nations passing on increased costs to consumers, Trump said his plan was to force foreign companies to open production in the US to avoid tariffs. That of course could take years.
Finally, Trump said Republicans who have thrown their support behind Kamala Harris might have a “personality problem” before inferring that they are somehow beholden to China…
